How to start (or stop) all torrents at once in rtorrent

I just upgraded rtorrent on a machine at home. After the upgrade I started it only to find all torrents marked as [CLOSED]. Instead of doing ^s on all of them I did ^x that starts a command prompt and ran the following command:

d.multicall=,d.start=

If you want to stop all at once you can do ^x and then run the following command:

d.multicall=,d.stop=

    this is preatty cool, by the way do you like filelist.ro?

  2. no one in particular says:

    Doesn’t work for me. rtorrent replies with “could not find the ‘=’ “

      In your case it must be because you forgot to put the equal signs but also the original poster forgot to tell you you need to put a space along with the comma
