About me

My name is Christer Edvartsen and I’m a developer from Norway who enjoys web development using PHP/MySQL and related technologies. I’ve been into PHP since late 1999 and still love it!

I work for VG Multimedia which is the largest online (and regular paper based) newspaper in Norway where I can play with PHP on a daily basis.

I love to solve problems and enjoy working with high traffic sites (www.vg.no gets over 3 million unique visitors every week).

I have also helped nettby.no (the largest Norwegian community site with ~700.000 registered users and 250.000.000 page impressions a week) with optimization concerning the huge amount of traffic the site gets (now over 40.000 simultaneous online users at peak).

Besides programming I enjoy mountain climbing and chopping wood.
