Not worthless afterall!

Each morning I usually go through some blogs and today I read a post(Norwegian only) on “oterbloggen” about some kind of widget that could tell me how much my blog was worth. Thinking about the quality of my posts the first number I thought of was a big fat 0, but to my surprise this blog was worth a whopping $564.54!

After reading another post(also in Norwegian) on oterbloggen I saw that it was worth exactly the same as my blog so I’m a bit worried about the validity of the how-much-is-your-blog-worth application…

Just arrived in Zürich

I just arrived in Zürich at Hilton Zürich Airport hotel for a two day Microsoft Live Services course.

Tomorrow I will get some more information about what Microsoft Live has to offer and an overview of the Live Services platform. I will also have a look at Silverlight streaming and the authentication/delegation model used to access Microsoft Live data.

I will be attending wearing my PHP 6 pioneer t-shirt! :)

RIP Gary Gygax

Gary Gygax, co-creator of the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game passed away earlier this week. Me and friends have gathered loads of times playing D&D (and later AD&D). Countless hours have been spent killing dragons, searching through caves and labyrinths for hidden treasures and anything else that might be waiting. It’s been a while since I have played now so I can’t say I know much about what Gygax have been up to lately. I am however grateful for the experience (no pun intended) he has given me through his work.

Roll in Peace Gary.

Guitar Hero

Last Saturday I bought Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock for my 360. A friend of mine was coming over to drink some beers and play.

It was the first time I had ever tried Guitar Hero and it was absolutely amazing. I had to start out on easy of course and after some tunes I got the hang of it. We played for hours and finished the game on easy and started on medium. It got a little harder because of the extra fret button (3 on easy, 4 on medium) and some faster strumming. The amount of beer might also have something to do with the fact that the songs were getting harder and harder.

I wish there were more songs though. I have downloaded some but it would be great to be able to DIY as well. I would instantly grab the latest Machine Head album (The Blackening) and play along. :)

I’m anxious to see if I’m able to do some songs on hard after I have done medium. Once I get another fret button I’ll probably just get dizzy while trying to play along. :p
