The client applicaton for Series 60 phones was finished, and I started to write about that part. Since it was easter, and my girlfriend was home on vacation the week was not too productive. I will mostly focus on the report from here on…
The XML-RPC web-based client has been ready for a while, but I have had loads of other stuff to do at school, so I have forgotten this blog the last couple of days! The client can be found at http://whereru.starzinger.net/client.php. As stated on the page, it has its limitations. There has been some DNS problems so the client has not been accessible for others than myself until some days ago (forgot that I had whereru.starzinger.net in my hosts file, and the DNS for the domain had not been updated yet).
I also started working on the client that will run on Series 60 phones. The client was supposed to be finished during week 14, but I could not find the time.
Last week I started working on the XML-RPC server that will handle requests from Where R U? clients. I will also make a web-based client that can be used to test the server. I will post the url of the client here as soon as it is finished (hopefully tomorrow). This week I will also rearrange the portfolio 2 assignment in the Forskning… course that will be the living report for this course.
When the web-based client is done and the server is working, I will start with the Where R U? client for Series 60 phones.
